The Best Advice for Parenting a Teenage Girl

As some of you might know, last summer, I wrote and self-published a short e-Book on Amazon, titled, Dear Grace, I hope you don’t get your period in gym class

Essentially, this book is a letter to my then almost 12-year-old daughter, broken out into chapters, each touching on advice for the different obstacles preteen girls face.

Well, my daughter has just turned 13, and I thought that it was time for an update. Now that she is older, I’ve learned some tried and true things that I feel are truly helpful for all parents. Today, I would like to share with you:

Here’s one that worked beautifully for me just last night:

As a parenting expert (clearly), I only wanted to offer you the most sound, tested, and verifiable advice I could get my hands on. I hope that this will be invaluable as you navigate the waters of parenting your teen.



If you still feel like you could use a little more help, and would like the wisdom and advice from someone who’s children are already grown, I’d like to share the technique that worked for my mother back in the 70’s and 80’s, that is still relevant today:



Full disclosure, my child is seriously a really good, very sweet young lady. I’m sure that if this post offends her, I’ll be sure to hear about it. In about 10 years when it’s finally cool for her to speak to her parents again.
